Bitter-Sweet Memories

Bitter-Sweet Memories.

Ah! the pesky and dreary have returned.
But what is it that makes them so dreary?
perhaps occurrence on acts misgoverned?
or maybe acts performed that were villainy.

Whatever they are, they cause in our hearts- grief,
and when they overcome, hearts fall dismal,
in happiness there forms a disbelief,
and verily these are not cordial.

shattered are those who fall into its trap,
and then, Alas! their hearts crumble away,
problems upon problems just overlap,
so many that it then feels like doomsday.

But nay! hope has not withdrawn itself yet.
and verily none shall remain upset.

and then you remember those that uplift,
and you remember those that bring merry,
then they just seem like a rather nice gift,
and then they turn revolutionary

then in the heart, merry shall solidify
and he shall look up and portray a smile
the grief in his heart it shall pacify
and the moments he lived all seem worthwhile

finally! the dreary have been vanquished
but what is it that led to their exile?
the remembrance of joy that flourished?
indeed, of delight it brought a new style.

but what is this with diverse boundaries?
they are nix but bittersweet memories.

Fun fact: The poem is a combination of two sonnets! i.e., every line has exactly ten syllables!
